Enjoy These 3 Paleo Lettuce Wraps

If you want to follow the Paleo diet in the spring, it involves using a lot of veggies that are in season, including all your leafy greens. This often leads to enjoying a nice lettuce wrap. Here are some different types of lettuce wraps you can enjoy.

Taco Salad Wrap

The first type of lettuce wrap you can have when you are on the Paleo diet is a taco salad wrap. This makes it super easy because you are essentially having your favorite type of taco salad, but are enjoying it wrapped in lettuce instead of using tortilla chips.

You can use most of the other taco salad ingredients, like ground beef or ground turkey, tomato or salsa, guacamole, bell peppers, and onions. If you eat dairy, you can add cheese and sour cream, but it also tastes delicious without it. Instead of having shredded lettuce, just use large lettuce leaves to wrap everything up, and it is a great lunch or dinner.

Cheeseburger Wrap

If you love cheeseburgers, you can still have them! You just want to skip using the bun. A super-easy way to still enjoy your burgers is to use grass-fed beef and cheese that comes with grass-fed beef (if you eat dairy on Paleo) and put all of the ingredients in a lettuce leaf wrap. Of course, this burger is great without the cheese, so don’t worry if, on your version of this diet, you don’t allow any dairy products. Load up on the veggies like tomato, onion, and even avocado. Think about what would go on your favorite burger, and as long as it is Paleo-approved, add that to your wrap as well.

Asian Chicken Wrap

Finally, if you want to try something new, why not have a chicken wrap that has an Asian flair? You can do this by using classic ingredients often used in Asian cuisine, including water chestnuts, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. The oil and sauces are used for the sauce, while the water chestnuts are added to the cooked chicken, along with some bell peppers. You can season the chicken how you like and even add just regular soy sauce on top instead of actually making a sauce with the sesame oil and other ingredients. Go ahead and use your imagination and your own creativity for this one until you feel it is perfect!
